best drip coffee

I've been using Melitta drip filters for almost 50 years. I like the simple method and the good flavor. I do prefer the bleached white filters to the natural brown ones, though. The brown ones had an institutional paper towel-like taste.

The Best Filters -- Ever !

I have been brewing coffee using Melitta #6 Coffee Filters for many, many years. They fit perfectly in my large Melitta Cone. They never flop over when I pour the water. They never tear when filled with wet, spent coffee grounds.Since I never see #6 Filters in any of my local stores, I buy a case of 12 boxes at a time. They arrive quickly and in perfect shape. #6 white cone filters

These are great filters. I cant taste the paper like many other generic type of paper filters. I just sprinkle a bit of cold water on the filter before scooping in the coffee.
