We are fans of Melitta but this purchase bothered us in 2 ways. one we could not find a 12 or 14 cup coffee maker option. We also wanted to purchase a second carafe for the maker but one to be found on the website.

Disappointing. The machine makes a huge mess. The coffee drips out of the filter onto the plastic lid of the carafe rather than inside it. Coffee splashes everywhere. The heating pad actually overheats the coffee in the carafe. The coffee needs to be consumed immediately, or enjoyed cold at a later point, or it doesn’t taste good.

The water temp is hot enough. I love a cone shape filter. They make the perfect coffee. Have used Melitta products for many years. This makes the perfect cup of coffee. For me. Period. Thank you!!
