Don’t be intimidated! The pour-over method is really a simple and quick way to handcraft coffee to your taste. Here are the steps to brewing your own pour-over coffee:

1. Fold the seams of the Melitta filter and place in Melitta cone pour-over brewer. Put pour-over on top of the mug.

2. Scoop in finely ground coffee. The fresher the coffee the better.

3. Start with fresh, cool water. Heat the water to just below a boil.

4. Pour the water in a swirling motion to fully saturate the grounds and create agitation for optimal extraction. The slower the water is poured, the bolder and more developed the cup will be.

5. Enjoy your handcrafted cup of coffee!

I recently changed to a ground coffee , and I needed a quick way to make just 1 cup. This is exactly what I needed. Thanks Melitta!

My husband and I love the Melitta cone so much! We like our coffee really strong, so this works for us because we can make it whatever strength we need. We have a lot of different coffee mugs and I haven't run into a single mug it can't be used with. The only place we've had trouble is with one of his travel cups which is really slender. We have 2 cones that we use all the time, but my husband is away on an extended business trip and is really suffering with the bad hotel coffee. I'm about to purchase another set-up (maybe the Melitta travel cup and cone!) because there's no way I'm sacrificing one of mine from the house! Oh, AND I can manage to mess up any coffee set-up EXCEPT the cone system!
